Our Mission

"To provide effective, fun, engaging fitness solutions for anyone looking to be their best."

Whether your best is in the backyard or at the finish line — that's what we're here for. Founded in 2016 by Matt Griffith, Catalyst Fitness was built on a simple belief: fitness should be personal, not cookie-cutter.

We keep classes small (max 6), programs individualized, and our door open to anyone who wants to move better and feel better — regardless of where they're starting from.

B.S. Exercise Science, Eastern Washington University. We all want to feel better — whether it's powering through a daily routine or jumping into a favorite outdoor activity around Spokane and the Inland Northwest. Too often, you either lack the know-how, don't stick with the plan, or aren't seeing the results you want. Matt takes the time to know you, assess your needs, and build a program specific to you — whether that's losing weight, training for a sport, rehabbing an injury, or simply improving your quality of life.

His favorite success story: an almost-40-year-old dad of eight who worked from a home office. Matt helped him get in shape and pass a fitness mindset on to his whole family — they now enjoy skiing, fencing, and a backyard obstacle course together. His wife even started training for triathlons after their last child was born, and now she outworks him. With 20+ years of experience, Matt says it best: "Work as hard as you can in the time you have. Something is always better than nothing."

Matty firmly believes "movement is medicine" — evident the moment you train with her. A former collegiate track athlete, she fosters a motivating, competitive environment to help you reach your goals. She's currently a student physical therapist at EWU, with a special interest in pelvic floor, neurologic, and sports rehabilitation.

With a strong background in Olympic powerlifting and resistance training, Matty's coaching extends well beyond strength work into mobility, goal-specific programming, and more. Her workouts target full-body strength, endurance, and range of motion — built on foundational, functional movement to reduce pain and prevent injury.

Megan brings high energy and a genuine love of coaching to every Balanced Powers class and personal training session. She's passionate about making strength training approachable — breaking movements down so members at any level walk in feeling welcome and walk out feeling stronger.

Whether she's leading a small group through a full-body circuit or building a 1-on-1 program from scratch, Megan's focus is consistency over perfection: small wins, repeated often, add up to real change.

Every client gets a program built around their specific goals, limitations, and fitness level. No one-size-fits-all here.

Community-Sized

Maximum 6 per group class. Small enough that your coach knows your name, your goals, and when you've had a tough week.

Results-Driven

Regular assessments, progressive programming, and honest tracking — so you always know where you're headed.
